Looking back on 2018

There are so many things I could write about on this blog at the moment, but it seems a bit wrong not to acknowledge another year passing, and so you will have to wait until the new year for the more exciting posts!
This year… has had many ups and downs.
Of course, the biggest up was marrying the love of my life after a good four years of planning! We’ve just celebrated 6 years together and 6 months of marriage.
It was the most perfect day and it really did fly by; I often wish I could live it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing! Down the Aisle

I had heard of the post wedding blues and after our wedding… they hit hard. It was a struggle to get back into ‘normal’ life, with no planning to do and the biggest day of our lives so far behind us. Especially after such a wonderful day and incredible honeymoon in the states!
But sadly, just as I had recovered from these particular ‘blues’, we had another blow; Ross’ dad was diagnosed with cancer. It was a sudden shock and he had passed away in a matter of weeks. He was a very kind and caring man, we miss him dearly. We are just so grateful he was a part of our wedding day, which now serve as our last happy documented memories of him. Our wedding - our parents

I am grateful for all the memories I have made with my friends and family this year, I honestly don’t know what I would do without any of them in my life.

But, on a last note, I want to say how grateful I am for each and every one of you, my readers, for returning to my blog and seeing what I have to say. I continue to have a good response and I continue to enjoy my creative outlet. Of course, I haven’t been writing as regularly as I had hoped in recent months, but I am glad I realised I needed to take a step back to look after my husband, as well as myself!
In 2019, I am aiming to get back into the full swing of things, in fact… my next post on here will be a special announcement that I have been working on! Watch this space for the next week!

I wish you all a happy and healthy new year, I look forward to sharing some more vintage antics in 2019.
